1220 S El Camino RealThey had nice stuff here.. but they were over priced and a bit snotty.
I was looking at some Ludwig kits he had hanging up on the shelf and I asked him for the price and he said something like "too much." I can't remember the exact words though. He even asked me what kind of kit I currently have like he was judging me or something.
It may be because I look young and I guess that means you can't swing, but who knows. I wouldn't go here again.
Good music shops are few and far between. To say the least, I am thrilled to have a drum shop in my hometown, let alone 5 minutes from my house. You'll find a decent selection of kits from Mapex, Tama etc...I'm sure Yamaha and Gretsch kits end up there sometimes. Once in a while, they'll feature 1 or 2 San Francisco Drum Company kits, which are vintage kits with long tube lugs and big bass drums; just my type! They have a great selection of sticks and heads and occasionally, you can find some barely used/discount heads for cheap. Sticks can be a little pricey sometimes, but they carry these Vic Firth sticks that I sometimes cannot find at other stores. The owner Phil is super nice and strike up a conversation with you if you come in enough. He is knowledgable about all of the products he carries and is always good source for suggestions. He will special order drum heads and other accessories and make it slightly more affordable than ordering online.
